The flagship of Fender's production, instruments from the Custom Shop range are guitars and basses that meet the highest quality standards, be it in the wood selection, the pickups winding, the finishes or the overall build quality. This results in highly reliable instruments with inimitable sound, providing great playability.
This limited edition Stratocaster from the Custom Shop is one of a pair we picked up (the other one has an Aged Fiesta Red finish) based on the 62-63 model specs. The woods, hardware and electronics reproduce the feel and tone of these mythical guitars. One detail: the fingerboard's radius is compensated, to offer even greater playing comfort.
This Stratocaster is beautiful, comfortable, and sounds great. The finish blends beautifully with the rosewood fingerboard. The body's contours and C-profile of the neck are instantly familiar. And the tone is full of harmonics and fullness.
When plugged in, it sounds like the ideal Strat, so to speak. We immediately liked the roundness combined with the brilliance of the neck pickup position. The trio of hand-wound pickups delivers a typically vintage tone, glassy and twangy. Delivered in its case with its accessories and its certificate of authenticity, this marvel benefits from a two-year warranty from our workshop.
