The Sigma label was initially created by C.F. Martin & Co. in 1970 to deal with an invasion of more or less consistent Japanese copies on the world market. Operating to uncompromising specifications, the brand builds its instruments in China to offer an unbeatable price-quality ratio, and has diversified its licenses, thus now also producing Gibson copies.

This Orchestra Model guitar is a great left-handed folk guitar. Built with a Sitka spruce top, it offers excellent projection and volume. The mahogany back and sides provide a warm sound with bass at the forefront, but the OM size reduces the fullness of the bass, allowing the overtones to explode and the trebles to shine. A Sigma preamp lets you play with it on stage or in the studio, and the build quality promises a long-lasting guitar that's just right.
