Dowina is a Slovakian luthier who makes guitars in the traditional way, with carefully selected woods, and chosen combinations of species and sizes. This Chardonnay is a little wonder we found.

This guitar is beautifully crafted, both in terms of materials and workmanship. The body is made of a Swiss Alpine spruce top with figured maple back and sides. The soundstage is superb. The top offers a powerful projection, rather neutral, that the brightness of the maple reinforces with a lot of presence on a wide range of the sound spectrum. The hardware is excellent, and reinforces the impression of reliability that emerges from the instrument.
