Dowina is a Slovakian luthier who makes guitars in the traditional way, with carefully selected woods, and chosen combinations of species and sizes. This Chardonnay is a little wonder we found.

The quality of the woods and hardware is top notch, and the craftsmanship and finish are impeccable. The large auditorium format favors the midrange and a clear sound, and the rosewood back and sides add to the dynamics. Because it's produced by a small "local" shop, the price is very affordable for an instrument of this level, which will support a lifetime of writing, recording and performing.
