The flagship of Fender's production, instruments from the Custom Shop range are guitars and basses that meet the highest quality standards, be it in the wood selection, the pickups winding, the finishes or the overall build quality. This results in highly reliable instruments with inimitable sound, providing great playability.
Excellent reproduction of a '51 Telecaster that would have lived in the hands of an artist, and who, coincidentally like Keith Richards, would have modified his wiring by adding a humbucker to the neck and played a lot of gigs, this limited edition sounds and handles like the purest of impure Tele.
The selected ash body is of very high quality, and this guitar is very light. It already sounds great and loud, with great tuning. The maple neck and fingerboard are all smooth from wear and the hand glides easily. The humbucker (a Seymour Duncan Antiquity from the Custom Shop) produces a full, round and powerful sound that reinforces the already rocking character of this guitar. The aging of the hardware and body/stem assembly are superb and the electronics are perfect.
