Especially known for attracting shredders and metalheads thanks to its ultra-thin necks, floating vibratos and 7, 8 and 9 (!) strings guitars, Ibanez has established itself as THE Japanese export brand. Founded in 1957 in Nagoya, Japan, Ibanez began by producing copies of the american brands such as Fender, Gibson and Rickenbacker, before creating its own. But it was in the 80's that the brand set itself as a staple of the rock and metal landscape, by signing virtuosos such as Joe Satriani or Steve Vai, and established itself as a reference when it comes to superstrats.

The legendary RG 550, created after the invention of the JEM by/for Steve Vai, is back! So obviously, it's not a guitar for the blues, well... Not especially. It can and does do it all, but with its ultra-flat radius, Super Wizard neck profile, and Edge tremolo, it's obviously aimed at those who need a tool for sweeping, tapping, and other virtuoso acrobatics. Reliable and versatile instrument, with a remarkable look, an impeccable build quality (made in Japan, that's a good thing), this guitar is THE rock/hard-rock/metal and fusion machine.
