The flagship of Fender's production, instruments from the Custom Shop range are guitars and basses that meet the highest quality standards, be it in the wood selection, the pickups winding, the finishes or the overall build quality. This results in highly reliable instruments with inimitable sound, providing great playability.
You've probably heard Pino Palladino, even if you don't know it's him. This bassist has played with Phil Collins, Elton John, Stephan Eicher, The Who, John Mayer, David Gilmour, Tears for Fears, Adele, and many others. In the lot, there is an album that you liked. It has a square and solid style, a rather pop-rock grain, and a dicrete but effective creativity. For the past few years, he's been seen with a '61 Fender Precision Fiesta red, and that's the model that was used to create this beautiful signature bass.
Its look is a bit tuned with a Tortoise pickguard that somewhat blends with the Fiesta Red over Desert Sand beautifully aged in the Custom Shop. Its specs, on the other hand, are old school, with a two-piece body of alder selected on the top shelf, and a very nice maple for the neck. The rosewood fingerboard is also obviously made of a very high quality piece. The only pickup, a 59-62 P-Bass and its spartan but efficient electronics, deliver an incredible dynamic, which allows to enhance a play with nuances in the touch, with an exceptionally low background noise.
